    • Minimum qualifications:
    • + Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. + 8 years of experience in software development. + 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products. + 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
    • Preferred qualifications:
    • + Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
    + 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects. + Experience in partnering with non-frontend teams (e.g., GenAI, Model, UX/Research) to integrate capabilities and translate complex requirements into working, user-facing features. + Experience establishing instrumentation, quality rubrics, and debugging tools to measure and maintain the overall quality of the user experience. + Ability to define and drive the technical front-end architectural goal for complex systems, ensuring the design is scalable, performant, and aligned with the product's North Star.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $207,000-$300,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     • Responsibilities
    • + Define and drive the front-end architecture to integrate Gemini Live as the most intelligent, natural, and indispensable real-time conversational assistant, unifying the voice product across App and Devices.
    + Engineer an intuitive, discoverable multi-modal experience that ensures context and personalization are carried over seamlessly between chat and voice interactions, utilizing relevant visuals to enhance the experience. + Drive the technical development of the non-verbal communication system to ensure low-latency performance to make the AI feel truly responsive and natural. + Partner with GenAI and Model teams to integrate advanced model capabilities and establish necessary client-side instrumentation and quality rubrics to measure and maintain the naturalness and responsiveness of the Gemini Live experience.
