Mobile Engineer

Talascend is currently seeking a Mobile Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Mansfield, Massachusetts. Overview This role involves operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment across multiple sites, with a focus on mechanical building operations including HVAC and plumbing. The position requires technical expertise and flexibility to work across different types of sites and systems. Responsibilities Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems for multiple facilities. Travel between various facilities to ensure proper functioning of equipment. Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventive maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, and contracted maintenance. Inspect, calibrate, and service HVAC systems and related equipment to ensure optimal performance. Record readings and adjust equipment as necessary for proper operation. Follow safety procedures for storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe work environment. Conduct periodic checks of tools and inventory stock. Oversee the quality and pricing of work performed by outside contractors. Identify hazards and safety risks, and propose methods to eliminate them. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 10+ years of relevant experience. Experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. EPA 608 Type II Certification. Proficiency with computer applications such as Word and Excel. Valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications EPA 608 Universal Certification.
