Job Description

Talascend is currently seeking a Mobile Engineer for a contract to hire opportunity with our client in Winston-Salem, North Carolina . Overview The primary responsibility of this role is to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility HVAC systems across multiple locations. The technician will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and ensure systems operate efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Perform maintenance and monitor repairs of mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems for the facility to meet standards. Travel between multiple facilities to ensure proper functioning of systems. Manage facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, and contracted maintenance services. Maintain HVAC equipment including cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and replacing parts to ensure optimal performance. li>Record readings and make adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment. Follow departmental policies for hazardous materials safety, maintain a clean and safe workplace. Perform regular checks of tools and instruments inventory. Monitor the quality and costs of maintenance work performed by external contractors. Adhere to safety procedures and recognize hazards, proposing mitigation strategies. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 5-7 years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems. Ability to analyze operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, diagnose problems, and take corrective actions. EPA 608 Type II Certification. Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel. Valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications EPA 608 Universal Certification. Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC. We thank all applicants for their interest.
