Job Description
We are seeking a Senior System Software Engineer with deep expertise in Android power management and system-level power characterization, including hands-on work with Qualcomm-based platforms. This is a senior role focused on optimizing power, battery life, and thermal behavior across the Android software stack.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and execute power measurement setups using lab equipment, bench supplies, power analyzers, and oscilloscopesProfile and optimize Android power across idle, steady-state, and peak use casesAnalyze and tune Android Power, Battery, and Thermal frameworks, including:
Power Manager & wake locksThermal HAL and thermal policiesCPU/GPU frequency scaling and governorsSuspend/resume, active idle, and sleep behaviorDebug power issues across Android framework, HALs, Linux kernel, and device driversCorrelate electrical measurements with system logs and traces (ADB, dumpsys, systrace, kernel traces)Automate power characterization and regression testingCollaborate with hardware and embedded firmware teams (MCU/peripherals)Support the bring-up and optimization of new Qualcomm platformsRequired QualificationsBachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field7+ years of experience in Android system software, embedded Linux, or firmwareStrong hands-on experience with Android power management frameworksProven experience with embedded power measurement and lab setupsDeep understanding of:
