Job Description
We're partnering with an innovative consumer technology organization seeking a Senior Android Power & Performance Engineer to optimize power consumption, battery life, and thermal performance on advanced Android-based embedded devices. This role will focus on system-level debugging, power characterization, performance optimization, and cross-functional investigation spanning software, firmware, drivers, kernels, and hardware.
ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and optimize Android power consumption across active, idle, sleep, suspend, and deep-sleep statesInvestigate battery drain, thermal throttling, wake events, and performance bottlenecksDebug issues across Android Framework, HAL, drivers, Linux kernel, firmware, and system servicesUtilize Perfetto, BatteryStats, dumpsys, systrace, kernel traces, and log analysis toolsCorrelate software behavior with measured power consumption and battery performanceDevelop structured validation and power characterization plansRequirements8+ years of Android and/or embedded systems experienceDeep understanding of Android power managementStrong Embedded Linux experienceExperience with Qualcomm or similar mobile SoC platformsExperience debugging power, battery, thermal, or performance issuesStrong C/C++ skillsBenefitsCompetitive base salary and overall compensation packageFull benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision401 (K) with generous company matchGenerous Paid time off (PTO)Vacation, sick, and paid holidaysLife Insurance coverageOpportunity to work on cutting-edge technology projects
