Founded in 1993, Minerva Promotions is a growing business that specializes in screen printing, embroidery, promotional products & special events. Minerva Promotions is seeking a multimedia graphic designer for our in-house team in Bloomington, IL. This person will work with a small creative team and Minerva staff across all programs. The goal is to create designs that meet clients' needs as well as to design and execute campaigns and improve user experience across our websites and e-commerce platforms, design marketing materials, email marketing and social media and affiliate advertising. Ideal person for this position would be a creative, focused, good communicator with a distinct visual style. The ability to understand our unique target audiences and create designs that speak to them is critical. You must be able to visualize your designs via mockups in Adobe Photoshop and in some cases rapid prototypes. A working knowledge of HTML5, CSS, Javascript will be required to execute your designs within various software environments including Magento, Joomla!, Wordpress, and email marketing software. Projects will range from graphics for promotional products and apparel, HTML, graphic design of marketing collateral materials, social media management and much more. What we are looking for:
New graduate or 1-2 years' experience as a multi-media motion graphic designer Excellent skills in the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign), CorelDRAW as well as MS Office Working knowledge of WordPress Demonstrated proficiency in

Flexibility and adaptability in constantly evolving job environment A deep passion for aesthetics, design, marketing and user experience Self-starting, solution-oriented thinker Excellent communication skills Ability to create vector graphics and illustrations - a necessity What you will be doing: Email marketing template design and execution Ecommerce responsive design and execution Lead generation style responsive design and execution Banners and web graphics design including all social media formats Web forms design, implementation and optimization Magento basic maintenance, extension installation and troubleshooting. Adding and maintaining Magento stores. Web image creation and preparation including photo clipping and optimization Design and create artwork for promotional products and apparel Working alongside a motivated, talented and passionate team Digital ad design Creating vector artwork based on client's requests and sales team's intake. Creating assets for HTML newsletters and email blasts Conceptualizing, designing and executing a variety of web design and print projects Social media management for including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest Build original website and social media artwork, keeping website and landing pages fresh and up-to-date Create and maintain digital design assets, to include: banner art, thumbnails, infographics, etc. Special projects as assigned What we expect of the person filling this position: The person hired must be detailed and very responsible to be able to handle what is required in this position. Must show up on time when required with a good attitude and work ethic, and able to work overtime on occasion when necessary. Must be very professional in appearance, attitude, and the job that you are assigned. Any problems that arise should be brought to the attention of the management and not shared among the workers. We want people with desire, motivation and the skills to be management material that we can count on that will bring added value to our company's growth. Must be proficient in Microsoft office, well-organized, be a good leader, show attention to detail, write and communicate well in person or on the phone, and show pride in your work. Organization is very important. There will be weekly meetings usually on Mondays to go over customer priorities and responsibilities for that week including any issues that may arise. The applicant must be self-motivated and not waste time as they will have minimal supervision. Any oversights or mishaps will be recorded in detail to be reviewed. The person hired for this position is on a trial basis for 90 days and then will be met with for a review to determine how they are doing at fulfilling that position, if they are meeting what is required of them, and if they will be given that position permanently. You must also maintain a weekly record, (it does not have to be excessively detailed), of what you have accomplished or have been working on for that previous week for at least the first 90 days. If you put forth the effort and work with this company as if it were yours, then there will be a good future for you to grow with us. Background required:
Extensive ability in creating and maintaining the website. Have a natural ability for designing graphics that are sharp, clean, and uncluttered. A thorough knowledge of the many social media outlets to get the most from them. Minimum of a bachelor's degree in marketing and graphic/web design preferred, otherwise an extensive portfolio showing your work and at least a two-year degree. Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in the work place performing the tasks you our being hired for with examples of your work, preferably in brand management. Position Details Hours per week:
Regular, Full Time, Additional Few Friday & Saturday opportunities to work on site events will exist. Total Salary is commensurate with experience.
