This high-impact role will be responsible for transitioning operations from an existing warehouse into a new facility while establishing efficient, scalable processes to support continued growth. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in warehouse design, industrial engineering, project management, operational leadership, and continuous improvement. Following the successful launch and stabilization of the Arizona operation, this individual will also support warehouse optimization projects and new product launches at a South Carolina distribution facility. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on a growing distribution network, with potential future advancement into an Arizona operations leadership role based on business needs and performance. Key Responsibilities Warehouse Design & Industrial Engineering Evaluate current warehouse operations and develop an optimized future-state layout for a new 100,000-square-foot facility. Analyze material flow from receiving through shipping to improve efficiency and scalability. Develop inventory slotting strategies using SKU velocity, storage requirements, and operational data. Optimize rack utilization, storage density, travel paths, and product accessibility. Identify opportunities to reduce handling, travel time, labor costs, and operational waste. Implement standardized warehouse processes, productivity standards, and performance metrics. Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize operational efficiency. Distribution Center Launch & Project Management Lead all aspects of the warehouse transition and launch project. Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, and risk mitigation strategies. Coordinate inventory movement from the current facility to the new distribution center. Manage equipment installation, racking, labeling, technology implementation, and facility readiness. Ensure business continuity and customer service levels throughout the transition process. Conduct post-launch stabilization activities and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide regular project updates and progress reports to senior leadership. Operations & Process Improvement Establish best practices for receiving, put-away, picking, staging, and shipping operations. Analyze productivity, inventory accuracy, labor utilization, and operational performance. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs). Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve workflow efficiency. Partner with warehouse leadership and staff to implement sustainable process improvements. Create standardized operating procedures that can be replicated across multiple facilities. Leadership & Team Development Partner with HR to determine staffing requirements and assist with hiring efforts. Support employee onboarding, training, and development programs. Communicate operational changes and performance expectations effectively. Coach supervisors and team members on new processes and best practices. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Develop future operational leaders within the organization. Multi-Site Operational Support Travel extensively between Arizona and South Carolina to support warehouse optimization projects. Evaluate facility layouts, storage strategies, and process improvement opportunities. Assist with new product launches and operational expansion initiatives. Share best practices and support process standardization across multiple facilities. Provide recommendations related to capacity planning, warehouse expansion, and operational excellence. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered. 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, distribution, logistics, industrial engineering, or supply chain environments. Experience with warehouse design, inventory management, material flow, slotting strategies, and process improvement. Proven success leading warehouse relocations, startups, expansions, or major operational transformations. Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and warehouse technology. Ability to analyze operational data and implement measurable improvements. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Ability to travel extensively, including extended assignments in South Carolina. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced distribution environment while managing multiple priorities. Preferred Experience within automotive aftermarket distribution or manufacturing environments. Experience launching new warehouses or distribution centers. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, or similar continuous improvement methodologies. Experience managing warehouse teams and implementing standardized work practices. Experience working with international teams and cross-functional stakeholders. Bilingual or multilingual communication skills, particularly English/Mandarin. Spanish is also a plus. Experience with warehouse design software, CAD tools, labor modeling, or warehouse simulation. Travel Requirements Significant travel between Arizona and South Carolina is required. Extended stays in South Carolina may be necessary during facility launches, operational reviews, and major projects. Additional domestic travel may be required based on business needs. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout a warehouse environment. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
