Onsite M-F 8-5 in Tempe, AZ 85284

Duration:

Contract through 3/31/2027, then revisiting FTE conversion/extension. Conversion depends on team fit, performance, and budget, but FTE conversion is the goal for this placement.

$30-37/hr Summary The Network Operations Center (SNOC) Analyst monitors and manages operations of the systems, services, and security. Handles tier 1/2 support for systems/application administrators as needed for installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. The position works under close supervision and normally receives detailed instructions on all work. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Supports the IT department's operational, failure/recovery and performance testing in both the test and production environments
  • Performs technical support for maintenance of business and ongoing project implementations.
  • Ensures production environment is always functioning through application alert monitoring. Responsible for production systems' availability and incident management.
  • Ensure Service Level Agreements are met; response time, fix time, and quality standards meet acceptable requirements.
  • Reviews product documentation prior to new releases
  • Promotes continuous improvement by ensuring adherence to quality principles. Seeks out and actively participates in business initiatives that contribute to service excellence.
  • Actively participates in continued professional development to stay up to date on the latest technical and information management enhancements and data management best practices. Other duties as assigned.
  • Logs, escalates, tracks and resolves environmental, application, systems, database, alerting and monitoring issues
  • Works with internal customers to troubleshoot application issues
  • Documents and manages reported technical support issues
  • Responds to monitoring alerts to quickly identify trouble sources and implement resolution to avoid or reduce duration of an outage.
  • Gathers and reports application and system outage statistics.
  • Maintains up-to-date documentation for all supported systems
  • Adheres to all service level agreements and performance guarantees
  • Completes JIRA case work per service level agreements and performance guarantees
  • Meets or exceeds departmental metrics (scorecard) for problem response/resolution timeframes and for internal customer satisfaction with IT Operations services
  • Escalates issues per policy to higher tier support resources and management as necessary. Administers and enforces IT standards and processes.
  • Maintains and supports security procedures, applications, and systems through the documentation of the resolution of assigned cases that range from simple to complex.
  • Enforces security policies and procedures by administering and monitoring security profiles, reviews security violation reports and investigates possible security exceptions, updates, and maintains and documents security controls.
  • Involved in the evaluation of products and/or procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness. Provides direct support to the business and IT staff for security related issues.
  • Participates in the delivery of new and upgraded security applications, systems, and workflow.
  • Supports and maintains role-based access control and entitlement systems.
  • Participates in efforts to proactively maintain and improve the automation, reliability, consistency, and the quality of existing IT security tools and environments throughout the organization. Ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data residing on or transmitted to, from, or through the enterprise workstations, servers, application systems, and data repositories.
  • Participates in activities to create information security awareness. Disseminates and educates users on common security practices. Participates in regular security awareness training and updates to ensure consistent compliance with IT Security Policies.
  • Maintains up-to-date industry knowledge through formal/informal training, industry associations and research of the latest technologies critical to the success of the company's information security program. Continuously works to maintain and improve security solutions to defend the company against data security threats.
  • Apprises and keeps management aware of security issues; handles and/or escalates issues appropriately. Education and/or Experience BS/BA and 2+ years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Computer Skills
