Position Provides mid-level network engineering and administration support to operate, administer, secure, troubleshoot, and improve enterprise networks. Supports LAN, WAN, cloud networking, firewalls, routing, network security, capacity/performance monitoring, infrastructure changes, vulnerability remediation, and technical documentation across government locations. •Position is Contingent Upon Contract Award•
Responsibilities:
Operate, administer, and secure networks as the Mid-level Network Engineer assigned. Support the design, implementation, and management of LAN, WAN, and cloud network architectures. Troubleshoot complex network issues, identify root causes, and optimize network infrastructure for performance, reliability, availability, and scalability Plan, implement, and maintain network security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, access controls, and related security technologies. Support network upgrades, expansions, migrations, and infrastructure changes with minimal operational impact. Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and health; support periodic network audits and recommend improvements. Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewall infrastructure, including policies, routing, ACLs, NAT, VPNs, security profiles, logging, and software/OS upgrades. Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols, routing tables, static and dynamic routes, and enterprise connectivity. Administer and troubleshoot NetApp storage infrastructure supporting network and systems operations. Identify network vulnerabilities and support remediation across firewalls, network devices, and NetApp infrastructure; support STIG assessments and compliance documentation. Maintain current network diagrams and infrastructure/security documentation and provide recommendations on architecture, security, capacity, lifecycle management, and infrastructure improvements. Support infrastructure including Cisco routers, switches, ISE, Palo Alto firewalls, WAN/Internet/VPN connectivity, patching, incident response, ATO/security assessment, DR/COOP activities, and audit support.

Certification Requirements:
None required, but Cisco and/or Palo Alto networking/security certifications are strongly desired. Any other work-related qualifications needed for the role: Demonstrated experience with enterprise LAN/WAN/cloud networking; Cisco routers/switches/ISE; Palo Alto firewalls; VPN, ACL, NAT, routing, IDS/IPS and access-control technologies; network monitoring and capacity management; vulnerability remediation; STIGs; documentation; incident response; and change/configuration management. NetApp experience.
Salary Range:
