A Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting an organization's network infrastructure. This includes local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), cloud networks, and data center connectivity to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing communication systems. Key Responsibilities Design and deploy network solutions (LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless, and cloud networking) Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and uptime Troubleshoot network issues and outages (L2/L3 problems, latency, packet loss) Implement network security measures (firewalls, IDS/IPS, segmentation) Maintain documentation for network architecture and configurations Collaborate with system administrators, security teams, and DevOps Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning Perform firmware upgrades, patches, and hardware replacements Automate network tasks using scripting (Python, Bash, etc.) Required Skills Strong knowledge of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) Experience with network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Arista) Understanding of firewalls and security principles Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios) Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Basic scripting/automation skills Problem-solving and analytical thinking Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Certifications such as:

CCNA / CCNP

(Cisco) CompTIA Network+ AWS Certified Advanced Networking (optional) 3-7+ years of experience.
