Job Summary:
We are seeking an Observability Engineer to join the Data Streamers team, dedicated to enhancing visibility and insights into our global network infrastructure through innovative observability solutions. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining APIs and streaming infrastructure for our Network Telemetry project, with a focus on efficiency and scale. The ideal candidate will contribute to a diverse and equitable work environment, pushing the boundaries of network observability within a leading digital infrastructure company.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement robust APIs for collecting and exposing network performance metrics utilizing protocols like SNMP, gNMI, and RESTful interfaces. Develop API-driven solutions for log collection and analysis to derive deeper network insights. Implement real-time data processing solutions through message brokers like Kafka. Contribute to distributed tracing capabilities, enhancing end-to-end visibility across systems. Ensure scalability, reliability, and high availability of observability solutions and APIs.
Must-Have Skills:
Proficient in Java programming with extensive experience in data-intensive application development. Solid understanding of networking concepts, observability, and telemetry principles. Demonstrated experience with observability platforms and big data technologies (e.g., Kafka, ELK stack).
Industry Experience Required:
Experience in digital infrastructure or related field, with a focus on network observability and telemetry systems.
