Sr. Network Operations Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Sr. Network Operations Engineer for a Contract with a client in Roseville, CA. Candidate with extensive hands‑on experience across enterprise routing, switching, and security platforms.

Rate Range:

$55/hour to $ 60 /hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Sr. Network Operations Engineer job responsibilities include: Install, configure, and maintain large‑scale network infrastructure across routing, switching, wireless, and firewall platforms. Monitor and troubleshoot complex network issues across LAN, WAN, VPN, and data center environments to ensure high availability and performance. Manage and optimize Palo Alto firewalls, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, ISIS), VLANs, STP, and other core network technologies. Oversee network monitoring and alerting through tools like SolarWinds, ensuring proactive detection and resolution of infrastructure issues. Support DNS management, load balancer configurations, and cloud networking/connectivity across hybrid environments. Perform network testing, validation, and documentation while ensuring adherence to best practices, security standards, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field. 10+ years of experience in network engineering, operations, and large‑scale infrastructure management. Strong hands‑on expertise in routing, switching, firewall technologies, and network troubleshooting as required by the client. Pay Details:
