Job Summary:
We are recruiting for an Automation Engineer opportunity supporting a highly regulated biomanufacturing environment. Our team is seeking a candidate who can help maintain, improve, and support automation systems while partnering with scientific and operational teams to keep critical processes running effectively.
Responsibilities:
Develop and support process control applications using distributed control systems, human machine interfaces, supervisory control and data acquisition systems, and programmable logic controllers. Collaborate with scientific and operational staff to translate process requirements into automation and engineering design. Participate in technical root cause analysis, incident investigations, troubleshooting, and support for process control issues involving instrumentation and control systems. Support capital projects, engineering assessments, automation system configuration changes, engineering runs, commissioning activities, and documentation development including specifications, SOPs, and operating standards.
Required:
Doctorate degree, or Master's degree plus 2 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of experience, or Associate's degree plus 8 years of experience, or high school diploma/GED plus 10 years of experience. 5+ years of combined experience with Emerson Delta-V DCS systems, Rockwell Automation SCADA and PLC platforms, electronic batch reporting systems design and implementation, process control network design including network segregation, virtual infrastructure design and implementation, and advanced troubleshooting with IS support. Experience with system integration using OPC, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, and DeviceNet technologies. Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements such as 21 CFR Part 11, ASTM 2500, S88, S95, and GAMP.
