Learn how you can start or jumpstart your career with us. The Qnity Automation team is seeking an Automated Process Equipment intern in Delaware for Integrated Operations. The selected candidate will provide technical support, which includes supporting a global community and supporting sites with project execution. The ideal candidate will have detailed expertise in designing and commissioning automated equipment for discrete processes. We are ideally seeking students who are available full-time during the summer and interested in continuing part-time throughout the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Supports the EHS organization to assist with investigations and action items. + Collaborate and support of the machine safety standard. Proactively address machine safety risks by participating in machine risk assessments (MRAs) during design and execution. + Develop equipment designs to support the equipment from a leveraged engineering perspective and deploy the technology throughout the organization. + Provides technical expertise to support the following: + Automation Assessments + Capital projects including Statements of Work ( SOW ), Design Reviews, Construction, Acceptance Tests, Commissioning, and Safety Reviews + Provide expertise in mechanical layout and equipment design to support projects at the sites. + Ability to collaborate with external suppliers to design, fabricate, and qualify equipment. + Strong knowledge of electrical design and network architecture. + Ability to collaborate on multiple projects at the same time.
Qualifications:
+ Experience in a discrete manufacturing environment focused on the design and maintenance of automated equipment is preferred + Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Robotics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. + Able to travel to manufacturing sites (average 30% of time) + Experience with
CAD / CAM
software
  • SolidWorks preferred + Experience with mechanical and/or electrical fabrication technology + Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a challenging, diverse team environment in a respectful manner. + Strong Interpersonal skills + Highly motivated problem solver Key Behaviors required for this role + Inspiring trust
