Engineering Technician Build complete machines from the ground up. What You'll Do Build custom automation machines from scratch, not maintenance work Assemble and integrate mechanical systems, subassemblies, and full machine builds using drawings and schematics Install and connect mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical components Perform precision alignment, tuning, and system integration Troubleshoot and resolve issues during build, test, and startup Partner with engineering to ensure machines meet performance and design specs Support equipment testing, validation, and commissioning (including occasional onsite installs) Contribute to a clean, safe, and organized build environment What You Bring 5-10+ years of true machine building experience (custom equipment required) Proven experience building full machines, not just maintaining or repairing equipment Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and layouts Hands-on experience with assembly, integration, and system troubleshooting Ability to work independently, think critically, and solve complex build challenges Experience in automation, manufacturing equipment, or custom machinery environments Engineering degree a plus (not required for strong builders) Why This Role Stands Out Work on custom, one-of-a-kind machines without no repetitive production work High-visibility role with direct impact on finished equipment Collaborative, fast-paced environment with strong engineering partnership Opportunity to join a top local employer with long-term potential Schedule Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bradenton, FL.
