GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Cyber Training Range (CTR) Administrator is responsible for the planning, design, implementation, and administration of network systems within the CTR environments: DUTIES Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain the Cyber Training Range Environment (CTRE), including its cloud environments (VMware, VDI, Containers), servers, and storage solutions. Install, configure, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot networking switches, routers, cables, racks, and firewalls Work closely with vendors and third parties for installation and troubleshooting purposes Capable of partitioning single server into multiple virtual machines (VMware, Microsoft, and others) Configure simulators that are flexible and scalable with the ability to integrate and support Cyber and Information Operations Proactively monitor event logs for baseline changes or errors and take appropriate actions to resolve issues Supports the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed. Automate the building, deployment, and configuration of training ranges using infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, VRA) and configuration management utilities (e.g., Ansible, GitLab). Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell, Bash, Python, and JavaScript to automate administrative tasks and operational processes. Responsible for day-to-day operations and maintenance of virtualization servers and desktop infrastructure Deploy and maintain enterprise virtual training cloud environments for students and instructors in classroom and development operations Document maintenance inspections, perform emergency shutdown/start-up and recovery operations, and conduct new systems integration Provide Tier 2/3 network support to optimize the Cyber Training Range for optimal performance Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors Degree and 3-5 years' experience in a related Cyber/IT field is required IAT Level II certification is required Top Secret Clearance/SCI required Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, networking principles, ACAS, and SCCM is preferred.
