Job Description

Firewall Administrator Sirius Staffing is seeking a Firewall Administrator for a full-time contract opportunity in Lutz, FL. This position supports firewall operations, VPN connectivity, and major firewall upgrades within a regulated utility environment.

Lutz, FL Duration:
Approximately 12 months
Schedule:
At least three days onsite per week, with after-hours implementation work expected at least once weekly. Candidates must be local to the Tampa area. Responsibilities Deploy, configure, implement, and upgrade firewalls. Respond to firewall support tickets, investigate issues, and troubleshoot connectivity. Create and modify firewall rules to support network access and security requirements. Configure, implement, and troubleshoot VPN connections. Support multiple large-scale firewall upgrades across the organization. Collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues and maintain reliable network operations. Participate in after-hours implementations and scheduled maintenance. Required Qualifications At least three years of hands-on experience upgrading, deploying, and implementing firewalls. Experience creating, configuring, and troubleshooting VPNs. Understanding of industrial control systems and protocols, including Modbus and CIP. Experience working in a regulated environment and supporting compliance requirements such as SOC or
NERC CIP.
Availability to work onsite at least three days per week and support weekly after-hours implementations. U.S. citizenship, as required for this assignment. Preferred Qualifications Experience administering Check Point firewalls. Fundamental understanding of routing and switching. Sirius Staffing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
