This role involves hands‑on engineering, security, project work, and architectural input. Key Responsibilities Technical Expertise Manage LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and remote access technologies Work with major network operating systems and protocols (BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, EIGRP, VPN) Support and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, and security appliances Use network monitoring/analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds) Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and fault diagnosis Security Implement network security controls and policies Support vulnerability assessments and secure network systems (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs) Projects & Operations Lead network upgrades, migrations, and cutovers Manage configuration, change, and release processes Resolve complex escalated network incidents and perform root‑cause analysis Documentation & Architecture Maintain detailed network documentation Contribute to network architecture and translate business needs into technical solutions Soft Skills Strong communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities Ability to manage projects and coordinate across technical teams Comfortable interacting with stakeholders and leadership Qualifications Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field 5+ years of progressive hands‑on networking experience Additional Details High visibility to leadership with the opportunity to influence future infrastructure direction Potential to convert to full‑time (not guaranteed) Role supports ongoing network topology improvements and environment assessments Position open due to team growth and increased demand for Senior -level network expertise Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of West Palm Beach, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
