Performs day-to-day system administration, including installations, upgrades, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting across Exchange, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 (e.g., mailbox lifecycle, mail flow, identity management, and tenant administration). Implements and maintains security controls to protect system assets, including RBAC/least privilege, MFA, Conditional Access, privileged access, and auditing. Supports incident response and compliance requirements such as retention, holds, eDiscovery, and DLP when in scope. Monitors system health and resolves complex issues; coordinates with vendors and manages escalations during outages or degraded performance. Supports change management and stakeholder communications. Contributes to system optimization and reliability by implementing improvements, analyzing performance, and recommending enhancements to capacity, availability, and monitoring. Participates in evaluation and recommendation of infrastructure and collaboration technologies. Collaborates with peers to improve troubleshooting practices, on-call response, and operational procedures; develops and maintains runbooks and knowledge articles.
