Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Network Engineer to join our innovative IT team. Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage complex network architectures encompassing LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), and data center infrastructure. Configure and support network hardware such as Cisco routers, switches, ASA firewalls, Meraki devices, Juniper equipment, and other networking equipment. Implement and maintain security protocols including Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine), PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), network access controls, and firewall configurations to safeguard organizational assets. Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, and Splunk; troubleshoot issues related to equipment failures, connectivity disruptions, or security breaches. Manage routing protocols such as
OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
; optimize network routing for high availability and load balancing across multiple sites. Support VPN configuration and management for remote access solutions; ensure secure encrypted communications via IPsec or SSL protocols. Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement security measures including IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems), encryption standards, and cloud security practices on platforms like AWS or Azure. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system design projects involving virtualization (VMware vSphere), cloud integration, scripting (Python, Bash), and automation tools like Ansible. Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, procedures, and incident reports; adhere to ITIL best practices for service management. Skills Extensive knowledge of computer networking principles including
TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SFTP/FTP
protocols. Proven experience with Cisco networking hardware such as routers, switches, ASA firewalls; familiarity with Meraki cloud-managed devices. Strong understanding of network security concepts including VPNs (VPN management & configuration), encryption standards, SSO (Single Sign-On), LDAP integration. Proficiency in configuring routing protocols like
OSPF, BGP
; experience with MPLS networks for enterprise connectivity. Skilled in system administration across various operating systems including Windows Server environments, Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian), UNIX variants (Solaris/BSD). Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues rapidly using diagnostic tools; perform network installation and upgrades efficiently. Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere; experience with cloud services like AWS or Azure for hybrid infrastructure solutions. Familiarity with scripting languages including Python or Shell Scripting for automation tasks; experience with DevOps practices is a plus. Strong analytical skills for vulnerability assessment using tools like SolarWinds or Splunk; ability to implement high availability architectures ensuring minimal downtime.
