Overview Join our dynamic team as a Network Engineer and become a vital part of designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge network infrastructure. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in computer networking, routing protocols, and network security to ensure seamless connectivity and robust system performance across diverse IT environments. Your proactive approach will help optimize network operations, troubleshoot complex issues, and support the organization's digital transformation initiatives. Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage enterprise network architectures including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), and data center environments to support organizational needs. Configure and support network hardware such as Cisco routers, switches, ASA firewalls, Meraki devices, and Juniper equipment to ensure optimal performance and security. Implement and maintain network security protocols including Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine), PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), VPN (Virtual Private Network) configurations, firewalls, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and encryption standards. Monitor network health using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, and Splunk; perform vulnerability assessments; and execute troubleshooting procedures to resolve equipment or connectivity issues swiftly. Manage complex routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, and IPsec VPNs to facilitate reliable data transmission across diverse networks. Support system administration tasks related to operating systems like Windows, Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian), UNIX variants (Solaris, BSD), and virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and Citrix. Collaborate on network architecture planning for high availability solutions including load balancing and redundancy to ensure continuous operations in data centers or cloud environments like AWS or Azure. Support GPON/XGS-PON, Ethernet and transport technologies for residential and commercial broadband customers. Qualifications Proven experience in computer networking with a strong understanding of network protocols including
TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SFTP/FTP/SCP.
Hands-on knowledge of Cisco networking equipment such as routers, switches, ASA firewalls; familiarity with Meraki products is a plus. Expertise in configuring VPNs (including IPsec), network security measures like SSO (Single Sign-On), LDAP integration, and SSL/TLS encryption standards. Strong troubleshooting skills for equipment issues involving Cisco
ISE, IDS/IPS
systems, load balancers, or network hardware failures. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation tasks; experience with Ansible or PowerShell is advantageous. Ability to design scalable network solutions supporting high availability architectures within data centers or cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. Knowledge of telecommunication systems including VoIP configurations; understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) principles for system deployment. Relevant certifications such as
CCNA/CCNP
(Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional), CompTIA Security+, or equivalent credentials are highly desirable. Experience with Calix GPON and XGS-PON services desireable. $61,665.88 - $78,999.06 per year
