full-time Network/ Systems Engineer - Video & Wireless Networking US citizen/ W2 only Chicago, IL | Hybrid/Onsite + Customer Sites 6-12 Month Contract Local travel required; 30%+ driving, using your own vehicle Our direct client is looking for a Systems Engineer to support the design, deployment, integration, and testing of video and wireless communication solutions for mission-critical public safety systems. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, or related field 3+ years of experience in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Video System Integration, or Wireless Communications Strong IP networking knowledge: Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3, MPLS Experience with video equipment and Video Management Systems (VMS) Experience with outdoor wireless deployments; Cambium Networks is a plus Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Nice to Have CCNA, Network+, JNCIA, or similar certification OSPF, BGP, MPLS, LDP, or other routing experience RF / microwave / line-of-sight experience Experience supporting public safety or mission-critical communication systems
