Insight Global is seeking a Cloud and Automation Engineer for a top Financial Services client. This candidate will join a growing Cloud and Infrastructure team focused on modernizing and automating a hybrid Azure and on-premises environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep Azure infrastructure engineering expertise and have the ability to lead enterprise Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives using Terraform and Azure DevOps. This individual will be responsible for designing scalable cloud solutions, developing reusable Terraform modules, building CI/CD pipelines, and implementing configuration management through Ansible or similar technologies. The role requires a strong systems engineering mindset, excellent troubleshooting capabilities, and a passion for automating operational processes. The candidate will work closely with engineering, security, and business teams to deliver resilient, secure, and highly automated infrastructure solutions while helping the organization mature its cloud engineering practices and reduce reliance on manual support activities.

Day-to-Day:

•  Lead Azure Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives across the organization
•  Design, build, and support infrastructure across Azure and on-prem environments
•  Develop and maintain Terraform modules and automation frameworks
•  Build and manage Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments
•  Create automated provisioning, configuration, and operational processes
•  Implement and support configuration management solutions using Ansible
•  Partner with application, security, and infrastructure teams on platform design
•  Drive cloud modernization and infrastructure standardization efforts
•  Troubleshoot complex issues spanning multiple infrastructure layers
•  Develop documentation, standards, runbooks, and engineering best practices
•  Apply SRE principles to improve reliability, monitoring, and operational excellence
•  Evaluate and implement cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions
•  Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and on-call support
•  Reduce manual administration through reusable automation and self-service capabilities

Skills and Requirements Must-Haves:

•  5-10+ years of Cloud, Systems, or Infrastructure Engineering experience
•  Strong Azure Infrastructure Engineering experience
•  Expertise deploying and managing Azure Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
•  Advanced Terraform experience, including: o Reusable modules o Environment-specific deployments o Enterprise-scale infrastructure automation
•  Azure DevOps experience, including: o 

YAML CI/CD

pipelines o Repositories and source control management o Approval workflows and release processes o Automated Terraform deployments

•  Ansible (or similar configuration management tool) experience
•  Infrastructure automation and operational automation expertise
•  Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments (Azure + on-prem infrastructure)
•  Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, networking, storage, virtualization, and identity systems
•  Experience collaborating with engineering, security, architecture, and business stakeholders
•  Strong written and verbal communication skills
•  Automation-first mindset with a focus on eliminating manual processes
