Job Description Role:
Entry Level Network Engineer
Location:
Gary, IN / Portage, IN (Onsite)
Duration:
6+months
We are looking for an Entry Level Network Engineer to support Cisco wired and wireless network infrastructure in a heavy industrial environment. The candidate will assist with troubleshooting, break/fix tickets, basic network configurations, cabling, and onsite IT/network support activities.
Responsibilities:
- Support Cisco routers, switches, and wireless devices
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues
- Assist with break/fix and daily support tickets
- Perform basic network configurations and documentation
- Support onsite infrastructure activities
Required Skills:
- Basic Cisco networking knowledge
- Understanding of routing & switching
- Network troubleshooting skills
- Wireless networking basics
- CCNA or Network+ preferred
Additional Requirements:
- Fully onsite role
- Comfortable working in steel plant environment
- Must have own vehicle for local travel between Gary & Portage locations
- Open to occasional on-call/weekend support

Bachelor's Degree preferred or relevant certifications/training.
