Limited, as needed Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Journeyman Network Services Specialist for the EPASS Cyber and Networks Directorate (EPASS HN II) contract, supporting the C3I & Networks Division (AFLCMC/HNI) located at Hanscom
AFB, MA. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Education:
Bachelors or Master's Degree in a related field
Years of Experience:
Ten years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD. Two additional years of technical network engineering experience with proper certifications may substitute for Master's degree.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Ability to work independently and apply the proper procedures and processes related to their area of expertise Experience configuring, operating, and testing DoD C4ISR components, systems, and tactical architectures
Desired:
knowledge of IP-Based networks and High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) devices (KG-175/250)
Desired:
equipment familiarity with Air Defense System Integrator (ADSI), Joint Range Extension (JRE), Gateway Manager, Multifunctional Information Distribution System Low Volume Terminal (MIDS LVT), and Common Data Link (CDL)
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Contractor shall advise and support work that involves the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and/or management of networked systems used for the transmission of information in voice, data, and/or video formats. Functions required to be performed by individuals in this specialty may include: Analyze and recommend network requirements Recommend and maintain network architecture and infrastructure Analyze network workload Monitor network capacity and performance Diagnose and resolve network problems Recommend network backup and recovery procedures Install, test, maintain, and upgrade network operating systems software Ensure the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services
