Job Description

Our client is looking for a Software Automation Contractor to join a leading provider of lifesaving medical devices and healthcare software solutions
THIS POSITION REQUIRES BEING A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE TO THEIR FACILITY

In this role, you will develop, maintain, and enhance automated testing frameworks for embedded software systems used in electro-mechanical medical devices such as AEDs, ventilators, and temperature management solutions. Your expertise in Python programming, software test automation, and understanding of SDLC methodologies will be essential as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve test coverage and ensure product quality. As a Software Automation Contractor, your day-to-day responsibilities include designing and executing automated test scripts, reviewing software requirements for verification coverage, troubleshooting automation frameworks, and supporting CI/CD integration within an Agile environment. You will also analyze test results, document defects, and participate in sprint planning and retrospectives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative medical device solutions while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00
PM Required Skills, Education, and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 2 years of experience in software test automation, software verification, or software development Proficiency in Python programming and developing automated test solutions Knowledge of SDLC, software testing methodologies, and automation principles Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Pytest, Jenkins, Git, and automated testing frameworks for embedded systems Familiarity with SSH, network troubleshooting, and embedded software testing Experience using Google Test (gTest) and basic networking fundamentals Think you know someone who'd be perfect for this role?
