Network Engineer

APG, MD (With Travel)Job Description- Serve as a Network Engineer
- Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure? Maintain secure LAN, WAN, and data center environments
- Configure and manage routing and switching technologies? Support BGP, VLANs, and Layer 2/3 networking
- Install and maintain network security solutions? Configure firewalls, VPNs, and access control policies
- Support enterprise firewall and DNS infrastructure
- Administer network virtualization platforms? Configure VMware vSp virtual networking and vSwitches
- Deploy and support wireless network environments? Configure enterprise switches, routers, and wireless access points
- Monitor network health and performance? Analyze traffic and resolve connectivity issues proactively
- Troubleshoot complex network incidents? Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Develop network architecture and engineering documentation
- Support network modernization initiatives
- Validate network changes and software updates
- Prepare technical reports and customer briefings Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (preferred)
- Hands-on enterprise network engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols ? Experience with BGP, VLANs, and Layer 2/3 networking required
- Experience with Cisco networking technologies
- Experience configuring enterprise firewalls ? Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower, or equivalent
- Experience with DNS and load balancing technologies
- Experience with VMware virtualization technologies ? Knowledge of vSp networking and virtual switches
- Knowledge of enterprise wireless networking
- Experience implementing secure network architectures
- Experience creating engineering documentation
