Job Description

Our client is seeking a Network Engineer Level III to support a federal cybersecurity architecture opportunity. This Key Personnel role will provide senior wireless, network, and security engineering expertise with emphasis on Cisco wireless infrastructure, secure network operations, continuous visibility, security product integration, and advanced enterprise network engineering for a proposal opportunity. Primary Responsibilities Design, deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize secure wireless LAN solutions. Support Cisco wireless, Cisco ISE, MSE, WLC, Prime, and AnyConnect environments. Implement secure guest wireless and BYOD solutions. Integrate network security tools to support visibility, monitoring, access control, and enforcement. Troubleshoot complex LAN, WAN, and wireless issues. Support network performance, availability, and security for mission-critical environments. Develop and review secure network configurations, diagrams, procedures, and technical documentation. Support enterprise architecture design reviews, engineering meetings, change management, and security posture improvement efforts. Qualifications Required Qualifications Candidates must be willing and able to work as Ashburn W-2 employees. 1099 and corp-to-corp arrangements are not permitted for these roles. DHS EOD / suitability is required for clerance. 10+ years of experience designing, deploying, troubleshooting, and optimizing Wireless LAN systems for Government or similarly complex enterprise environments. Experience addressing Radio Frequency (RF) shared-medium challenges. Experience ensuring robust wireless network performance and implementing security best practices aligned to Federal standards. Subject Matter Expert-level experience with Cisco wireless technologies, including Cisco ISE, Cisco MSE, Wireless LAN Controllers, Cisco Prime, and Cisco AnyConnect. Experience implementing secure BYOD and guest wireless solutions while maintaining production network security. Experience applying federal information security policies, principles, and practices to secure network operations. Experience using tools such as ForeScout, Cisco ISE, Stealthwatch/Cisco Secure Network Analytics, and Splunk. Experience maintaining continuous network visibility and enforcing network security measures. Advanced network engineering experience designing, implementing, and managing complex LAN, WAN, and wireless systems. Experience with network performance optimization, troubleshooting, and advanced security protocol integration. Ability to support mission-critical Government operations.
Preferred / Strongly
Desired Qualifications Active Cisco certification strongly preferred, such as CCNP Security, CCIE Security, CCIE Wireless, CCIE Data Center, or comparable experience. Experience with Cisco Nexus, IOS, FlexPod, Corelight NDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and network security tools. Experience with Cisco Prime, SolarWinds Orion, or comparable configuration management tools. Experience with Zero Trust Network Access, SASE, network segmentation, and micro-segmentation. Prior
