PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Embedded Network Engineer is responsible for developing and testing network configurations for aircraft systems to ensure optimal performance, functionality, and security. This role involves validating system behavior, documenting results, and supporting the integration of new networking configurations into operational platforms.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop network configurations for aircraft.
Test network configurations for aircraft.
Develop sub-programs and driver code in high-level programming languages (C++, C).
Test and document system behavior, performance, and security.
Test and develop new networking configurations.
Monitor and analyze network usage and capacity for UAV systems.
Solve problems by following standardized practices and procedures.
Collaborate with management, departments, and customers to identify end-user requirements and specifications.
Design, write, and update system documentation and network diagrams.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot network architecture.
Analyze existing hardware, software, and networking systems.
Create and implement scalable networks according to specifications.
Resolve technical issues involving networks, hardware, and software.
Perform other duties as necessary and/or required.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Network Security, or a related field with 2-5 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 2 years of related experience.
Security clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance.
Technical experience supporting hardware development utilizing antenna, RF, digital, and microelectronic technologies.
Experience with coding and scripting languages (e.g., C++, C, Python, Arduino, MATLAB).
Experience working with sensor payloads.
Experience with aerospace development, production, or operations.
