Job Responsibilities:
- Knowledgeable engineer in the field of Ethernet and IP data engineering with 4 plus years' experience as a Network Technician.
- Position requires a high level of project coordination skills to manage the execution of maintenance activities and network outages.
- Fundamental understanding of the OSI Model is required.
- Experience must include operational support, and configuration of network devices such as servers, routers, switches, associated software tools, and cabling in a large
LAN/MAN/BAN/WAN
environment.- Knowledge of network protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP is a Plus.
- Knowledge and experience working with wireless technologies, Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), and WAN Accelerators and associated technologies is highly desirable.
- You will be part of a Team of Network Technicians and Engineers.
Overview of Duties:
- Handled outage and maintenance tickets servicing more than 20000 users across more than 12 sites since March 2016 through onsite and remote troubleshooting assistance for layer 1
- 3 issues, hardware installations of new and upgraded routers, switches, McAfee intrusion prevention systems, Aruba wireless controllers, Riverbed Steelhead WANX's, device configurations and reconfigurations, and LAN/WAN outage recovery.
- Troubleshooting outages and resolve network related issues.

- given briefings on troubleshooting TACLANES, Trained to re-key the
TACLANES.
- Install and upgrade network devices and components. This includes switches, routers, and network monitoring devices.
- Expected to understand, implement, and follow processes in accordance with current policies and procedures. Performed escalation and additional tasks as directed.
- Investigated, resolved, documented, and reported the cause and corrective actions in the Incident Management System for all incidents assigned by the Service Desk. Additional Skills & Qualifications Qualifications
