Job Requirements naval air station patuxent river, MD Top Secret Polygraph Unspecified Career Level not specified $80,400 - $134,000 Job Description SMX is looking for a highly motivated VMware Systems Administrator with demonstrated experience to maintain the various systems. This position will provide onsite support at Patuxent River NAS in southern Maryland and requires a DoD Top Secret security clearance which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts. As the Systems Administrator, you will join a team of highly-driven, supportive, and skilled professionals engaged in supporting program management, technical, or business case analysis across the NAVAIR community. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Experience developing and maintaining scripts using PowerShell, Python, Ansible, and other technologies. Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware infrastructure, to include virtual machines and containers. Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes to various physical and virtual hosts. Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues on servers, workstations, and IT equipment. Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans. Manage user accounts and permissions. Deploy and maintain software applications. Troubleshoot technical issues. Maintain documentation to include knowledge base, incident response actions, system configurations, and other information related to system administration. Provide technical support to customers, ranging from resolving technical issues to providing guidance and best-practices. Working knowledge of DoD IA practices, including STIGs, patching, backups, and ACAS scans.
