Drive Innovation with new advancements in IndustryOpportunities for future training to broaden skillsBe part of a team of experts to drive solutions that improve efficiencies, safety, and qualityWork with various assembly plants and integrators.
Troubleshoot and debug complex systems, including electrical, PLCs, navigation systems, sensors, logistics, and networking.
Assemble vehicles and systems as needed and provide on-site installation support.
Support the development of new AGV/AMR projectsOffer technical assistance to Lear facilities for automation and AGV projects.
Track issues/repairs and utilize escalation processTroubleshoot and diagnose issues with AGV navigation, control systems, and communication networksConduct preventative maintenance (PM) activities, such as software updates, to ensure AGV reliability and performanceAnalytical and decisive to define, evaluate and solve problems in an organized processStrong communication skills, both written and verbal with competency in computer and Microsoft Office productsAbility to collaborate in team environments while maintaining individual duties effectivelyCommunication with suppliers/Integrators to aid in design decisionsTime management skills to reach design process milestones within the given timelinesAbility to travel up to 50% to customer sites to capture design info or assist installationPrepare/manage concise technical documentation, including specifications and user manuals.
AUTOMATION AMR/AGV ENGINEERCOMSTOCK PARK, MICHIGAN - LEAR ASI AUTOMATION DIVISION
As a member of the Automation team, the Automation AGR/AGV Engineer will be responsible forLeading, Supporting, Implementing, and Managing Automation projections while driving innovation in advancements. As an AMR/AGV Engineer at Lear, you will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining our autonomous mobile robot (AMR) and automated guided vehicle (AGV) systems across our manufacturing facilities. You will be responsible for the installation, integration, and optimization of AMR/AGV solutions, ensuring seamless automation of material handling processes in both production and warehousing environments. This position requires expertise in robotics systems, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills to support our commitment to technological advancement in manufacturing and logistics operations. Automation AMR/AGV Role:
Lead the installation, configuration, and integration of AMR systems within Lear's manufacturing facilitiesDesign and implement custom solutions to optimize AMR/AGV performance in diverse operational environmentsDevelop and maintain control/ monitoring systems for AMR/AGV fleet across multiple facility typesEnsure seamless integration between AMR/AGV systems Lear MES systemsConfigure AMR/AGV systems to support both production line material handling and warehouse operationsQualifications:

Essential Skills:
