Job Description

Overview Join our team as a Senior Professional Services Engineer (SPSE), where you'll play a pivotal role in delivering innovative technology solutions that help clients achieve their business goals. This highly visible position combines technical expertise, customer engagement, and strategic problem-solving to design, implement, and optimize complex technology environments. As a trusted advisor, you'll collaborate with sales, engineering, and client stakeholders to develop tailored solutions, support pre-sales initiatives, and drive successful project outcomes. The objective of the Senior Professional Services Engineer (SPSE) is to deploy technology solutions for clients and to ensure the growth of sales through effective delivery of professional services, accurate proposal development, pre-sales technical design. The SPSE will help grow and expand the breadth and depth of solutions delivered to clients. The SPSE provides project implementation services with a focus on advanced-to-expert level complexity tasks and functions associated with the project. The SPSE provides technical support and assistance to the enterprise for project issues with an advanced to expert level of complexity.

Responsibilities Deliver professional services with a focus on:

Client satisfactionQualityTechnical excellenceParticipate in successful completion of project work including analysis, design, development, documentation, and testing of client network operationsPerform quality assurance activities to ensure standardization of best practiceAssist in the design and deployment of IT infrastructures and protection strategies to support client business plansAct as technical escalation point for other engineers and specialists within the teamImplement network infrastructure and security policies that promote client's objectives.

Perform advanced to expert level network diagnostics and repairs as directedDevelop Subject Matter Expertise in focused area(s) as needs dictateProfessionally document all work performed and submit accurate timecards on a daily basisAssist other team member in maintaining accurate and up to date documentation of client's network environment and supporting material that ensures consistent quality remote support by any member of the Professional Service Delivery TeamProject DeploymentAssigned as lead to run technology projectsImplement client projects for cloud, security, network optimization, and overall performance of our customers' infrastructureWork with assigned project leads and project managers, working assigned tasks and within defined project scope and milestones to ensure the successful deployment of IT projects for our clientsWork with other team members to identify new revenue opportunities, primarily via projectsRespond to communications from team members within timelines established by All Covered's communications standards Key Performance Metrics78% billed utilization / 84% effectiveProject quality (time/budget/quality)
Internal/External Contacts:
Daily interaction with team members and a variety of clients. The SPSE works closely with IT service consultants, field engineers, project managers, subject matter experts, and market directors to ensure client satisfaction expectations are met.

Qualifications Must have strong customer interface and relationship building skills5+ years of experience in network administration5+ years of desktop administration5+ years of operating systems experience (Windows, Mac, Unix, and/or Linux)5+ years of Exchange/Active DirectoryAt least one of the following industry certifications is preferred:
MCTS/MCP
Server 2008 or above, MCTS/MCP Exchange 2007 or above, CompTIA Server+, Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), VMware Certified, Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC)Successful experience designing, installing and supporting networks in multiple environments for multiple clients.

Proven network analysis and diagnostic skills, ability to implement quick and effective solutions to network problems, and escalate issues when necessary.

Strong proficiency in configuring, deploying and troubleshooting all of the following networking services: HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, VLANs, VIPs, ACLs, Routing, Switching.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Advanced understanding of and experience with Backup processes, software and hardwareAdditional technical competencies per disciplineAbility to communicate with users over the phone and provide remote support and using a variety of remote support toolsMust be a detail-oriented self-starter - function autonomously, with minimal supervisionStrong team playerExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
