Network Engineer - Prior Lake

The City of Prior Lake is currently seeking a Network Engineer to provide oversight and technical support for the city's information technology systems and applications. This position will be responsible for the configuration, operation, maintenance and optimization of city's networks, operating systems, hardware, software, virtual infrastructure and cyber security. This position works with all city departments to support their business technology needs including Police, Fire, Public Works and Finance. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field and five years of relevant work experience in a networked environment. Applicants must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, covering criminal, financial, educational, employment and personal history. Preferred qualifications include previous IT experience in a local government setting, prior supervisor experience in a professional IT setting, and knowledge of CJIS security standards.
