There is no challenge we can't turn into opportunity. GDIT is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer III- ECDS (Cross Domain Engineer) to support our Intelligence Community customer in Springfield, VA.
Do:
Lead the security design, architecture, and engineering of Cross Domain Solutions. Conduct analysis of alternatives for new or evolving data flows. Identify solution constraints and define evaluation criteria. Prepare complex design packages integrating multiple enterprise systems. Update design documents to incorporate new information, operational insights, and lessons learned. Develop technical point papers and documentation on CDS-related topics. Gather and validate requirements from stakeholders and mission partners. Schedule and participate in Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) to discuss design and implementation strategies. Coordinate implementation timelines and technical approaches with engineering and project management personnel. Provide technical inputs to support government strategy, planning, and modernization efforts. Collaborate effectively on integrated technical teams. Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical solutions to Cross Domain engineers. Train team members on new technologies and engineering approaches.You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a Polygraph Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience 6+ years of experience as a Cyber Engineer across application, system, and network cybersecurity domains Active IAT Level II Approved 8140 (8570) Baseline Certification (Security+CE, etc.) Hands-on experience working with Cross Domain Solutions Experience with system accreditation processes and operational support for CDS environments Experience developing systems, products, or processes using a total‑systems engineering approach These Qualifications Would Be Nice toHave:
CEH- Certified Ethical Hacker (EC‑Council) CASP+
- CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner Additional cybersecurity or engineering certifications a plus The likely salary range for this position is $147,292
