This role sits above Tier 1 and focuses on complex connectivity, firewall, wireless, and VoIP issues that require deeper technical skill and judgment. You will own escalated tickets, lead network projects, and help raise the overall technical standard of the team. Key Responsibilities Own and resolve escalated network, firewall, wireless, and VoIP issues that Tier 1 cannot close Design, configure, and deploy networks using Ubiquiti, SonicWall, and related platforms Troubleshoot and optimize routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, QoS, and wireless performance Perform advanced diagnostics on multi-site customer environments (healthcare, multi-location businesses, etc.) Plan and execute network upgrades, replacements, and migrations with minimal downtime Document configurations, changes, and network diagrams accurately Mentor and support Tier 1 technicians on more complex tickets Participate in on-call rotation for critical after-hours issues Work with vendors and carriers when needed to resolve upstream problems Identify recurring issues and recommend permanent fixes or process improvements Requirements Solid hands-on experience with enterprise or SMB networking (3+ years preferred) Strong working knowledge of firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless systems Experience with SonicWall and/or Ubiquiti (UniFi / Edge) is highly preferred Comfortable with VLANs, VPNs, site-to-site tunnels, and basic routing protocols Ability to read and create network diagrams and clear documentation Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently Good communication skills — you will still interact with customers and internal teams Reliable transportation and willingness to work on-site at customer locations Ability to lift equipment and work in network closets / server rooms Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting multi-site or healthcare environments Familiarity with VoIP systems and quality-of-service tuning Knowledge of Check Point, Proofpoint, or similar security platforms Relevant certifications (Network+, Security+, SonicWall, Ubiquiti, CCNA, etc.) Previous experience in a managed service or telecom provider environment Scripting or automation experience (bonus) What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience and skill level Health insurance contribution Paid time off and holidays Opportunity to work on real network projects (not just ticket queues) Direct collaboration with ownership and technical leadership Path to senior or specialized technical roles as the company grows To apply, send your resume and a brief summary of your relevant network experience to [your preferred email or application method].
