As a Cloud Network Engineer you will evaluate, design, document, install, implement, test, and perform problem isolation and resolution, monitor, tune and sets standards for all aspects of Networking. Maintain a complex range of computer network components and systems both on premise and cloud based. Plans and coordinates computer network initiatives. Researches, evaluates and recommends new computer network equipment and technologies. Design solutions to operational problems within the capacity and operational limitations of installed equipment. Provide internal consulting, technical guidance, information and support to application developers, computer operations, workstation support, company management and departmental clients. Works with other Special Operations network professionals as directed to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues and communicate changes.
HOW A NETWORK ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to complex problems Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability Coordinates the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks Designs and builds hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Required Experience:
5+ years of related experience CCNA or equivalent experience required, CCNP preferred
Security Clearance Level:
TS/SCI Required Skills and Abilities:
AWS or Azure Cloud certifications preferred AWS or Azure Cloud experience required DoD 8570 IAT Level II required ITIL v4 Foundation certification preferred Experience configuring and troubleshooting IPSec VPNs Expert level knowledge of the OSI model, common network protocols, TCP/UDP ports, and common network troubleshooting tools (tcpdump, wireshark, etc) Ability to troubleshoot multi-vendor network issues in the WAN and work with multiple teams to identify bottlenecks and other network configuration issues Has full technical knowledge of all phases of network operations. Must be able to evaluate network performance and interact with users to solve complex networking problems
Preferred Skills:
Excellent communication skills; shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through May be required to provide clear written documentation on network procedures and diagrams Must be able to effectively interact with staff from other sections on complex client/server problems Must closely follow network protocols and methodology Military experience preferred

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
