& architecture governance L3 / L4 escalation capability Global enterprise network exposure In collaboration with the Infrastructure Architect and other technical experts within the Network Governance Team the Specialist Global Network Connectivity is responsible for establishing the global network architecture in accordance with best practice and industry standards and oversee its execution ensuring alignment with the IT strategy to exceed the companys overall business objectives and strategic roadmap Transforming technology into value across objectives in Avient ITs four strategic areas oAccelerate Digital Transformation oEnhance CyberSecurity and Compliance oDrive Business Efficiency and Growth oBuild Global Governance Provide project management guidance for complex projects and workstreams advising on interdependencies and impact into other global initiatives ensuring local regulatory and compliance requirements are met Ensure that the security performance reliability and efficiency of Avients global network infrastructure that services are available scalable and continually improved Provide continuous governance oversight of the engineering and execution teams to facilitate excellent support service provision and incident escalation around the globe whilst adhering to standards Areas of technical focus include but are not limited to oGlobal WAN Routing Design oTelecom Architecture Governance oSDWAN Interconnectivity Standards oWiFi System Standards oTAOVPNExpressRoute oCloud Platform PrismaFortimanager Supervision oPublic IP Management oHypervisor Networking oCloud Connectivity oDisaster RecoveryBusiness Continuity oMonitoring Reporting oAsset Compliance Reporting oSwitchingRouting standards oConnectivity InternetMPLS etc oCapacity Planning Monitoring oAutomation Scripting oVirtualization Networking oDisaster RecoveryBusiness Continuity oSite Survey Standards Planning Verify and ensure that high quality documentation exists for all applicable projects systems and knowledgebase articles pertinent to their area of responsibility Support and help maintain relationships with all relevant IT vendors Participate in the IT strategic process as necessary Ability to work highly effectively with no supervision across various global virtual teams Follow direction to achieve a highquality outcome Flexibility to work across time zones including participating in offhour activities if appropriate Potential global travel up to 10 Other duties as assigned Education and Experience Bachelors degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience Experience in Manufacturing or similar industry 10 years of senior professional technical experience in network engineering and architecture or a related field Experience in effectively engaging and collaborating with remote and diverse team members Strong experience in cloud environments and those with segmentation between ITOT Relevant industry certifications are a benefit Additional Qualifications Strong process and internal customer focus Demonstrated knowledge of current and emerging technologies in relevant areas Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences Demonstrated infrastructure security focus and best practice working habits Experience leading and contributing to infrastructure projects within a fastpaced value focused culture
