Job Description
Job Summary The DevOps Automation Engineer will design, build, maintain, and optimize enterprise DevOps platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks to improve software delivery, security, reliability, and operational efficiency. The role will focus on CI/CD pipeline design and automation, Jenkins, Python, automated password rotation, DevSecOps, Database-as-Code, observability, and self-service engineering capabilities across enterprise-scale and mission-critical environments. The engineer will collaborate with development, infrastructure, database, security, and other cross-functional teams to modernize technology platforms and drive automation initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and optimize enterprise CI/CD platforms and automation frameworks.
- Create reusable deployment patterns, templates, and self-service capabilities to improve developer experience and reduce operational overhead.
- Troubleshoot, enhance, and modernize existing CI/CD processes to improve reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain automation across the application lifecycle, including build, testing, security validation, deployment, monitoring, and operational support.
- Partner with development teams to implement modern DevOps practices and accelerate software delivery.
- Implement and automate security controls across software delivery and infrastructure platforms.
- Partner with Identity and Access Management teams to implement and support RBAC, SSO, PAM, and PSM capabilities.
- Design and implement automated password rotation and credential lifecycle management processes.
- Integrate security scanning, compliance validation, and governance controls into CI/CD pipelines.
- Drive remediation and automation efforts related to infrastructure, application, and software supply chain vulnerabilities.
- Lead adoption and implementation of Database-as-Code practices across enterprise database platforms.
- Implement and support Liquibase-based database deployment frameworks.
- Develop automated processes for database deployments, validations, rollback procedures, and compliance controls.
- Build self-service solutions for approved SQL/DML execution activities to reduce manual support requests and operational ticket volume.
- Establish governance and auditability standards for database changes.
- Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, metrics, and observability capabilities using enterprise platforms.
- Build automation and tooling to improve operational efficiency, system reliability, and platform visibility.
- Develop integrations between enterprise tools, APIs, and platforms to streamline operational workflows and reduce manual intervention.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and database teams to identify opportunities for standardization and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale technology environments and mission-critical applications.
- Deep understanding of DevOps, Platform Engineering, and modern software delivery practices.
- Experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
- Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins and enterprise automation and orchestration platforms.
- Strong programming and automation skills with proficiency in Python or an equivalent modern programming language.
- Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code, Configuration Management, and Software Defined Infrastructure concepts.
- Experience with on-premises, virtualized, containerized, and cloud-based environments.
- Experience with Ansible, Microsoft DSC, or similar automation technologies.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, service-oriented architectures, and system integration patterns.
- Experience integrating security testing, vulnerability scanning, and compliance validation into software delivery processes.
- Experience designing or supporting automated password rotation and credential lifecycle management.
- Understanding of application, infrastructure, security, and operational logging concepts.
- Experience working within structured change control and governance processes in large enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated success leading technology modernization, automation, or operational transformation initiatives.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing Database-as-Code frameworks, preferably Liquibase.
- Experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
- Experience integrating DevSecOps solutions such as Qualys, Fortify, Snyk, SonarQube, or equivalent tools into CI/CD workflows.
- Experience implementing access governance, RBAC, SSO, privileged access management, and secrets management solutions.
- Ability to design reusable automation frameworks and self-service engineering platforms.
- Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban delivery models.
- Experience working directly with development, infrastructure, database, and security teams in complex organizational environments.

- Ability to think strategically about technical solutions, trade-offs, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
