NJM14•NJ•Mount Laurel, 1800 Bishops Gate Job Description Our telecom client is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support labbased testing, configuration, and validation of network technologies that power our nationwide infrastructure. This role focuses heavily on backup connectivity solutions using Cradlepoint, integration with LTE networks, and hands on work with SDWAN Versa or any similar products and nextgeneration firewalls like Palo Alto, Fotigate or any other devices.. You ll work within a lab environment to test, optimize, and validate network designs that enhance reliability, performance, and scalability across Comcast s edge and customerfacing networks. This includes supporting traditional and nextgen network hardware, enabling faster speeds, improved resiliency, and enhanced customer experience. Responsibilities Configure, test, and validate Cradlepoint devices for backup connectivity and LTE network integration. Perform handson configuration of IP routers, switches, telephony CPE, and Cradlepoint hardware. Design, configure, and deploy LAN/WAN network connections, including hardware, software, and communication services. Support and troubleshoot SDWAN Versa deployments in a lab environment. Work with nextgeneration firewalls for configuration, testing, and policy validation. Optimize network and system performance; identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Support traditional analog and digital network hardware as needed. Monitor and maintain network infrastructure to meet Comcast standards for reliability and performance. Participate in lab testing cycles, documentation, and validation of new network solutions. Collaborate with engineering teams to support edge compute and network intelligence initiatives. Required Skills & Experience 5 8 years of handson experience with Cisco and Juniper routers. Strong knowledge of internetworking design, routing, and backup connectivity solutions (Cradlepoint preferred). Solid understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies. Deep experience with routing protocols such as

BGP, MPLS, OSPF.

Handson experience with SDWAN technologies, preferably Versa. Experience with nextgeneration firewalls such as: Cisco ASA Palo Alto Fortinet / FortiGate Juniper SRX Check Point NG Extensive experience with Cisco switches and routers in lab or production environments. Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in a structured lab setting. Qualification Industry certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent. Experience building, replacing, and validating system hardware in a lab environment. Exposure to network automation, scripting, or riskmanagement practices. Familiarity with LTE/5G connectivity and wireless backup solutions.
