The role requires extensive collaboration between technical teams and the proven ability to work well with others to gather requirements and specifications related to technical solution and business performance. The role is a blend of strategic project and tactical hands-on support.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Serve as onsite Network Engineer & Operations Support
Collaborate on design and implementation of network infrastructure projects
Troubleshooting of day-to-day network issues and related services (e.g., network connectivity, performance issues, WiFi, carrier/circuit issues, application issues)
Hardware upgrades and failed equipment replacement
Assisting with patch/cabling requests while onsite
Configuring, testing, installing and maintaining LAN/WAN equipment and related services
Performing routing/switching hardware and software upgrades and configurations in line with industry best practices
Proactively identifying, diagnosing, and resolving network problems
Creating and maintaining comprehensive network documentation
Monitoring and responding to network conditions (alerts, down devices, link failures, performance issues)
Review security notices from vendors and reconcile applicable actions Qualifications and Experience:
5+ years hands on experience implementing and supporting network technologies and network systems architecture, design and integration
Experience with L3/L2 network design and development
Experience with network monitoring systems (NMS) including Solarwinds NPM, NCM, NTA
Working knowledge of protocols such as DNS, DHCP, NTP and concepts such as DDI/IPAM
Demonstrated proficiency with IOS and related hardware (routers, switches, and firewalls)
Exposure to diverse environments, configurations, technology products and services (e.g., Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto)
Proficiency with routing, switching, firewalls, protocols, security and technology integration such as: Cisco ASA, ACL, IPSEC, SSL, VPN, NAT, IDS/IDP, Cisco ISE, BGP, OSPF, HSRP, MACSEC, Multi-VRF
Experience with network performance optimization, tuning, application acceleration and load balancing technology and services.
Ability to plan, document and perform complex maintenance windows on production network and adhere to change management policies and procedures
Working emerging technologies a plus; SDN, Private Cloud, Network Virtualization, software defined networking and converged infrastructure technologies and services is a plus.

Experience working directly with business units Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, related field or equivalent work experience required.
