Job description : Are you a highly versatile IT engineer who excels at both on-site project delivery and remote troubleshooting? CCP Solutions, a family-owned and operated business established in 1974, is seeking a high energy Level 2 Technology Engineer. Due to expansion, CCP is currently seeking a dynamic Level 2 Technology Engineer. The Level 2 Technology Engineer will be responsible for remote and onsite service and support for our CCP's MSP and unified communication clients. This relates to all technology, including Desktop/Laptop workstations, servers, firewalls, switches, network printers, VoIP phone systems, wireless network elements, vendor specific hardware/software, and unified communication applications/ configurations. This is a dynamic role requiring a "run-and-remote" attitude for crucial field deployments and solid remote efficiency for day-to-day client support. Duties and responsibilities are as follows (but are not limited to): On-Site Engineering & Deployment (The "Run" Component)
Server Implementation:
Lead the physical installation, configuration, and migration of server environments for clients
Networking Projects:
Configure and deploy core network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, access points, VPN solutions, and related cable wiring work
Workstation Setup:
Perform advanced deployment, imaging, and configuration of new client workstations and peripherals on-site
Major Troubleshooting:
Act as the final escalation point for difficult hardware or connectivity issues that require a physical presence Remote Administration & Support (The "Remote" Component)
Advanced Troubleshooting:
Resolve Level 2 technical issues escalated through the ticketing system (e.g., Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, virtualization)
System Maintenance:
Proactively monitor, patch, and manage client infrastructure using our RMM tools
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working in a technical support or MSP role
Server Expertise:
Extensive experience with Windows Server (2016+) installation, configuration, and maintenance
Cloud & Email:
Strong proficiency in administering and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams)
Virtualization:
Hands-on experience with hypervisors, particularly VMware and/or
Hyper-V Networking:
Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and firewall management (e.g., Ubiquiti, SonicWall, Meraki, Fortinet)
Active Directory:
Mastery of AD, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management Valid driver's license required Proven ability to shift quickly from remote desk work to physical on-site deployment Excellent written and verbal communication skills, necessary for clear and helpful communication Exceptional customer service orientation with a proven ability to prioritize client needs and maintain a positive attitude under pressure
Problem-Solver:
A strong analytical mind with the tenacity to diagnose and resolve complex, intermittent issues A+, Net +, Sec + certification preferred
Pay:
$60,211.91 - $66,126.16 per year
