U.S. Citizenship required (due to clearance requirements) Overview Vaco is hiring a Cisco Network Engineer for a client supporting regulated, on-premise operational technology (OT) environments. This role is strictly focused on network engineering and security, with no responsibilities related to systems or operating systems. We are seeking a hands-on engineer with deep Cisco expertise who can support, maintain, and secure critical network infrastructure in a compliance-driven setting. Key Responsibilities Support and maintain on-premise data center network infrastructure Configure, manage, and optimize Cisco network environments, including: Firewalls (FTD / FMC) Switching infrastructure Implement and support core networking technologies such as: VLANs LACP Troubleshoot and resolve network and connectivity issues across environments Ensure secure and compliant network operations within a regulated infrastructure Collaborate with internal teams to maintain network performance, stability, and security Required Qualifications Strong hands-on experience with Cisco technologies, particularly FTD and FMC Proven experience configuring and managing VLANs and LACP Solid understanding of network engineering principles and best practices Experience supporting on-premise infrastructure in regulated or secure environments Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues independently Start Date Must be able to start by mid May
