Job Description

Enable Global Connectivity — Join PRC‑Saltillo as a Network & Communications Engineer! The Network and Communications Engineer leads the design, implementation, security, and ongoing support of PRC‑Saltillo's global network infrastructure. This role ensures the performance, reliability, and security of LAN, WAN, VLAN, and VPN technologies across all locations, while also owning enterprise communications platforms including VoIP, paging, texting, and fax systems. The position supports business continuity, global growth, and disaster recovery initiatives. In this critical role, you'll own our global network and communications environments, including LAN, WAN, VPN, VoIP, paging, and messaging systems. What You'll Do Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, VLAN, and VPN infrastructure across domestic and international locations Develop secure, scalable network architectures to support business growth and global expansion Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies and solutions Own and manage internal, external, and third‑party hosted DNS services (e.g., Cloudflare, GoDaddy) Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability Maintain network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and procedures Provide after‑hours on‑call support for critical incidents and scheduled weekend or evening changes Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field In lieu of a degree, 8-10 years of equivalent industry experience may be considered 5+ years of experience with LAN, WAN, VLAN, and VPN technologies 5+ years of experience with core networking protocols (DHCP, DNS, NTP, LDAP, SMTP, HTTP/HTTPS) 5+ years of experience with enterprise network hardware (Cisco, Meraki, Ubiquiti, Fortinet, or similar) 5+ years of experience supporting VoIP platforms (Nextiva, RingCentral, 8x8, or similar) 5+ years of experience with network monitoring, diagnostics, and security best practices Experience with cloud networking and NaaS/IaaS platforms (Azure, AWS) Required Skills & Abilities Ability to translate business requirements into effective network solutions Strong project leadership, planning, and organizational skills Deep knowledge of telephony systems including Microsoft Teams Voice and PBX platforms Ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines in a complex environment
