- Network Engineer 3
- to join our
- Security and Electronic Systems (SES)
- business Unit. As part of
- (SES)
- Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.
Technical:
- + Survey Reports measurement results in actionable form to more senior personnel and management. + Conducts any surveys, inspections, tours, etc. of client sites, as required
Design:
- + Install, configure, and maintain network services, equipment, and devices.
Service & Maintenance:
- + Troubleshoot and debugging complex network problems and recommending operational efficiency improvements + Preventative maintenance (software/hardware/firmware upgrades) including security updates, performance upgrades and schedule maintenance.
System Analysis and Reporting:
- + Documents the crucial working procedures and Troubleshooting of network operations.
Managerial:
- + Prepares cost estimates and supporting documents for projects + Assists senior engineers in preparation of Bids and Proposals cost estimates and supporting documentation Pricing of change orders + Assist in developing and adapting documents, procedures, and formal processes for the Network Engineering team members to accomplish Company project planning (PKOM's and gate checks) + Collaborates with other disciplines to define work / interfaces.
Clearance/Citizen Type:
- Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information;
ACTIVE SECRET
Clearance is required.Education:
- + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology (IT) or a related discipline and 5+ years of progressive experience
Technical Skills:
- + Understanding of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) concepts.
Communication Skills:
- + Strong oral, technical writing, and presentation skills + Ability to build productive relationships with team members, clients and other network/system stakeholders. + Ability to establish working relationships with others outside area of expertise.
Behavioral Skills:
- + Ability to balance high quality standards with schedule pressures in a demanding environment. + Must be a resourceful, self-starter, flexible, pro-active, solution-oriented, and customer-oriented.
Preferred Experience:
- + Reading network and connectivity schematics and plans + Network system startup, configuration, and calibration + Testing and troubleshooting + Use of basic electrical and machinist hand tools + Use of testing, calibration, or industry-specific tools and software (spectrum analyzer, cable tester, Alignment tool) Tools/Software + Ticketing and monitoring toolsets + Knowledge of one or more IT/Network platform, such as: Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, or Arista + Standard Network Software (Visio, Wireshark, Putty, CLI, etc) + Knowledge of Cybersecurity and STIG applications to network systems •What we offer:•+ A collaborative team inspired by the way engineering and innovation enhance customer outcomes, improve lives, and change the world for the better.
