Network Engineer V (Wireless Infrastructure)

1 Bowerman Drive, Beaverton, OR 97005 (On-site) Overview Join a global enterprise wireless networking team supporting large-scale infrastructure projects. This one-year contract is ideal for a senior wireless network engineer with deep Cisco expertise who enjoys designing, deploying, optimizing, and supporting enterprise WiFi environments. You'll work alongside a small, highly collaborative team responsible for Nike's global wireless network infrastructure. Job Description Design, deploy, optimize, and support enterprise wireless network infrastructure. Lead wireless infrastructure projects from planning through implementation and optimization. Configure and maintain Cisco wireless technologies, including AireOS, IOS-XE, Catalyst Center, and Prime Infrastructure. Administer Cisco ISE for enterprise authentication, authorization, accounting (AAA), Radius, and policy management. Perform predictive and active wireless site surveys using Ekahau. Monitor and troubleshoot wireless client performance using NetAlly or similar monitoring platforms. Resolve complex wireless networking issues and work with Cisco TAC on escalated cases. Manage support requests through ServiceNow, Jira, and related ticketing systems. Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders while communicating complex networking concepts clearly. Support ongoing improvements to global wireless infrastructure and network performance. Required Skills 8+ years of enterprise wireless network engineering experience. Expert knowledge of Cisco wireless technologies (AireOS, IOS-XE, Catalyst Center, Prime Infrastructure). Advanced hands-on experience with Cisco ISE (Radius, AAA, policy management). Strong experience designing and optimizing enterprise WiFi environments. Experience using Ekahau for wireless site surveys and network design. Experience with wireless monitoring tools such as NetAlly. Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, and Cisco TAC/RMA processes. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Skills CWSP, CWDP, or CCNP Wireless certification. ECSE (Ekahau Certified Survey Engineer) certification. Experience mentoring engineers or supporting collaborative technical teams. Previous experience supporting large global enterprise environments. Education Requirements Current CWNA (Certified Wireless Network Administrator) certification required. CWSP, CWDP, or CCNP Wireless certifications preferred. ECSE certification preferred.
