Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Network Security Architect - Specialist to lead the design, implementation, and management of advanced network security solutions. This role involves developing robust security architectures, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and safeguarding organizational IT infrastructure against evolving cyber threats. Duties Design and implement comprehensive network security architectures utilizing advanced security systems such as firewalls (Cisco ASA), intrusion detection systems (IDS), VPNs, and encryption protocols. Develop and enforce security policies aligned with industry standards including
ISO 27001, ISO 27002, NIST
frameworks, and FIPS compliance. Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability research to identify potential threats within cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and on-premises networks. Manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions, including Cisco ISE and SSO integrations, to ensure secure authentication and authorization processes. Oversee the deployment of network protocols such as IPsec, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, TCP/IP to optimize secure data transmission across LANs, WANs, SDLC environments, and cloud platforms. Lead incident response efforts by analyzing security alerts via SIEM tools like Splunk or SolarWinds; coordinate incident recovery activities efficiently. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on DevSecOps practices to embed security into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages such as Python or Bash. Requirements Proven experience in designing and implementing IT security architecture within complex network environments involving LANs, WANs, SANs, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), and virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere. Strong knowledge of network security protocols including IPsec, SSL/TLS, VPNs; routing protocols such as
OSPF, BGP
; load balancing; high availability configurations; and disaster recovery planning. Hands-on expertise with Cisco networking equipment (routers, switches), Cisco ISE for policy management, Cisco ASA firewalls, IDS/IPS systems; familiarity with open-source tools like Nmap or Fiddler is a plus. Deep understanding of information security standards such as ISO 27001/27002, FISMA, FedRAMP; experience conducting security risk assessments aligned with NIST standards. Skilled in implementing SIEM solutions for real-time security monitoring and incident management; experience with Splunk or SolarWinds preferred. Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform) including cloud architecture design principles for securing cloud workloads. Strong background in computer science or related fields with proficiency in operating systems (Windows/Linux/macOS), system administration, scripting languages (Python/Bash), and network engineering fundamentals. Excellent analytical skills for security analysis and vulnerability assessment; ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
