Job Description
Support, coordinate, engage and advise stakeholders across the enterprise as it pertains to Multimodal initiatives to effectively connect strategic and tactical plans, arising from several disciplines to the field operators at all levels of the various organizations. Essential Functions Coordinate with Cross OpCo Operations to optimize daily dray activity and utilize the synergies that exist between OpCo's Interact with carriers/ramps and Cross Opco non rail hub locations with impact to Multimodal Responsible for Field Communications and education as it pertains to Multimodal functions Develop relationship with operations, provide guidelines to manage equipment pools Develop and maintain relationships with Drayage carriers and rail carriers to ensure performance expectations and execution are met Collaborate with Network Engineering and operations to identify and coordinate proper equipment utilization and type that achieves savings while maintaining on-time service performance goals Participate in coordination with Network Engineering and Transportation to maximize service, load average and cube. Identify historical synergies and build them in to the daily plan Support the development and implementation of industry differentiating technology for our internal operations employees, third party vendors and consumers Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures Perform other duties as required Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree required. In addition to required experience, four (4) years of experience in operations, logistics/transportation, or distribution may be used as an equivalent to the degree requirement Minimum Experience One (1) year of experience in operations, logistics/transportation, or distribution required. Knowledge Skills and Abilities Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) and hazardous materials regulations Knowledge and understanding of linehaul and hub systems, freight movement, lane movement, and bids process Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization Detail oriented, well organized, and ability to multi-task in a results-oriented environment Experience and ability to use Microsoft Office Software, including but not limited to: Word, Excel, and Outlook Problem solving, project management and analytical skills Good communication skills Job Conditions Some travel may be required
