Onsite Automation Engineer Objective Design, develop, and maintain automated systems and processes in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities + Build and deploy automation systems from design through implementation + Integrate IT systems + Develop process control strategies and validate system performance + Manage vendor and integrator relationships + Maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation + Diagnose and resolve system failures via root cause analysis + Train end-users on automation systems + Evaluate new technologies to improve automation capabilities Requirements + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field + 7+ years of automation engineering in manufacturing + Proficiency with Automation platforms (PLC, HMI, DCS, etc.) + Programming skills in Python, Java, C++, or LabVIEW + Experience with industrial and collaborative robotics + Familiarity with cybersecurity principles for industrial environments + Knowledge of industry safety standards and protocols + Experience with Microsoft Office, Jira, Minitab, SolidWorks Preferences + Master's degree in a related discipline + Project management experience System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
