Azure Vulnerability & Remediation Architect/Engineer Location(s):Pittsburgh, PA Role Purpose:
Lead enterprise vulnerability management and remediation strategy across Azure environments, ensuring proactive risk reduction and alignment with security governance standards.Key Responsibilities:
Architect and operate Azurefocused vulnerability management programs using tools like Defender for Cloud, MDE, Qualys, Tenable, etc. Analyze, prioritize, and track vulnerabilities across IaaS, PaaS, containers, and workloads; drive remediation with engineering teams. Develop automated remediation workflows using Azure-native solutions (Logic Apps, Functions, Automation, GitHub Actions). Establish vulnerability SLAs, reporting dashboards, posture benchmarks, and executive-level metrics. Integrate vulnerability insights into cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, landing zones, and Zero Trust design. Partner with platform, network, and DevOps teams to ensure secure configurations and eliminate systemic risks.Required Skills & Experience:
Deep understanding of Azure cloud services, security controls, and secure configuration baselines (CIS, Microsoft benchmarks). Expertise in cloud vulnerability scanning, assessment methodologies, threat prioritization, and remediation orchestration. Strong proficiency with IaC (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) for secure deployments and configuration compliance. Solid understanding of OS, container, network, and application vulnerabilities (CVSS, CVE trends). Fedramp experience. Preferred certifications: AZ500, SC100, AZ305, CISSP, or equivalent.Location:
